1947 ~~~ Hajime Sorayama was born in Ehime prefecture in Japan.

• 1960s
  1965 ~~~ Sorayama entered Shikoku Gakuin University.
  1967 ~~~ After the publication of PINK JOURNAL, he left the school and entered Chuo Art School.
  1968 ~~~ He graduated from Chuo Art School and worked as a comprehensive illustrator at an advertising agency.
   
• 1970s
  1972 ~~~ Began working independently as a free-lance illustrator.
  1978 ~~~ Sorayama drew his first robot and since then he published several books.
